Thought & pleasure
Bergen Kunsthall, Landmark
Description

The videos ↗︎ SM BNGRZ.03.01–03 (2021; 15:53 min) by American artist Tony Cokes addresses meanings, ambitions, and dreams concerning (queer) club culture in post-pandemic times. The work traces movements from melancholy to resilience through a collage of quotes and soundscapes — material partly collected from texts produced by Karmaklubb*.

Welcome to a thought and pleasure session that allows for a dive into an artistic dialogue — and friendship — going back to 2018. The event includes screening of the films and an artist conversation. The talk will be held in English and be open to the audience for questions along. Times (approximate). 19:30–20:45. ↗︎ Find the METEOR event page here (in Norwegian). Facebook event ↗︎ here.
