For the name, gris, it means ‘pig’. While our first ale was named after the craziness of 2016 and early 2017 — the year of the ‘fire monkey’ according to some and a time of good and bad things (queerness, Trump, and much more) — we thought the spells of the ape would end; we were wrong!! It still goes on. In any case it kicked off the row of Karma* ales named after different living species and plants. As the reader may already assume, it was the year of the pig when this one — our second ale — was released. Brewed by Inga Greve, part of the Humlepupp network and probably one of the most prominent female kettle knights in the country.
Available from Ingensteds; Lofthus Samvirkelag, Kunstnernes Hus; Skatten Oslo; BD57; Ingensteds; Bruket; Glød; Kulturhuset; Gulating; Postkontoret; Leiligheten, Rockefeller; Audunbakken Festival 2019, and Grünerløkka Brygghus. * A close collaboration with Humlepupp (NOR) and with advices from Brita Fjellstad Dahle (NOR) at Haandbryggeriet (NOR) as ‘Gris’ is deeply inspired by their unforgettable 3.5 ABV smoothie ‘ART.+12 Mango, Strawberry and Raspberry Ale’ made with Polish Browar Stu Mostów in 2017.
