Newt Petride and Tine Semb first met through queer organizational work and activism while building bridges, preparing for Oslo Pride 2022 and a collaborative project at the ↗︎ MUNCH Museum. Since then, we have met briefly at various queer events, primarily related to ↗︎ PKI/POGI and/or Karmaklubb*. Due to full-time organizational work in both ends, this conversation is the very first time we sit down together and get to know more about why Newt, born in Cyprus, ended up in Oslo in the first place, and how it is living here today, six years after; on marin biology versus fulltime queer organizational work; about the love and support form a partner; community; the need of joy, rest, and a nuanced perception of ‘productivity’. — Welcome to a generous portrait over 45 minutes, not much prepared or edited; an our in the park accompanied with dogs and weather. A Oslo moment.
