‘Learn & Sip’, Hosted by Karmaklubb*: Winemaker in conversation with ! Through this conversation you will get to know the paths of Niloufar — a female winemaker in a male-dominated world and foreigner trying to make her life without a fancy background — to work with wine around the globe and now owning her own cellar in Catalunya, Spain producing among the finest and funniest we’ve tasted: Niloufar Wine. Together with Niloufar, we’ve invited a wine lover and eminent voice on wine as community builder and social building stone: Adelaide. Duration of the talk is approximately 30 minutes including questions — a golden half an hour: 15:45–16:15. Welcome!
↗︎ Niloufar Sharifi Esfarani started as a traveling winemaker in various countries and cellars around the world. Now based in Sant Joan Samora in the Alt Penedès, Catalunya, working in the vineyards of her neighbours. Niloufar makes wine in her own cellar, without any additions.
↗︎ Adelaide Myhre de Gouveia, born in Porto, a unique wine region, grew up surrounded by vineyards and people passionate about wine. “My path into natural wine began with an internship at T. Edwards Wines, one of the main natural wine importer in New York, which led me to work with producers in Provence and across France, Italy, and Spain. Alongside wine, I still teach surfing and organize queer events and retreats — for me, both surfing and wine are about passion, nature, and building community. At SKIN, excited to share how wine can also be a space for diversity, queerness, and connection.”

For ‘Learn & Sip’, Karmaklubb* has a tradition for programming talks that focus on diversity and activism within the wine industry, and in particular natural wine — not only as a pleasure of interest (we prefer the wild and being kind to nature), but as something that can be shared and offer entries to new and dear friendships. After all, that’s how Karmaklubb* started, years back.
