Karmaklubb* & Friends: Pink Concrete / OAT Academy (PRETTY EXTRAORDINARY GREATNESS)
Clubbing and such
AHO, Oslo
Description

For one night, AHO will change into a party, a club — we like to think of it as the a very large and warm livingroom. Besides, it will be a show especially made for tonight: Drag/Burlesque — draglesque — gender fluidity, glitter extravaganza, neon madness, hybridity, most likely a ‘kind of magic’ — all for your and our pleasure. We welcome you to a profound evening of beautiful beings, dance and joy, in general a celebration of queerness, and pink concrete. Drag/Burlesque/hybrids: Eliza Fierce & Phoenix D’vine w/ Juan Felipe Machista and Queen Sultan! Live music: Vjolla Emiri. DJs: JIJU aka Julie Silset & Jiska Huizing (Ideophone Records). Most likely surprises. Times: 8 PM to 1 AM. ID 18. NB: PROGRAMME STARTS 8 PM; SHOW 9/10-ISH, BE THERE EARLY. / Please save the date. This will be huge. Stage catwalk through the hall?! Yes, please. Part of ↗︎ OAT Academy 2022 and during the Oslo Architecture Triennale. *** REGISTRATION NEEDED AND TICKETS LIMITED, ↗︎ GO HERE TO RESERVE YOURS <3 UPDATE: ALL 600 TICKETS + 75 RESERVED! *** Link to FB event ↗︎ here. Endnotes

The OAT Academy 2022 ‘(RE)acting/(EN)acting’ brings together European schools for a dialogue and knowledge-sharing experiment, 16–24 September. The programme will engage with the Oslo Architecture Triennale’s curatorial team from an activist perspective. Participants — students, faculty members and invited guests — will address the social and spatial challenges of Oslo’s urban spaces and re-center the discourse around its privileged protagonists, its residents. With a focus on minoritized and invisibilized groups, they will collectively formulate and (En)ACT new scenarios placing inclusivity and community life as primary drivers of neighbourhood development. The party is hosted by Karmaklubb* and the Academy, Oslo School of Architecture and Design (AHO). What a pleasure. It follows the ↗︎ talk and pre-party by Swedish artists/architects/thinkers MYCKET and several more at the National Museum, Architecture same day. Technical collaboration with Oslo Lydutleie. Assistance: Christer Reitan. Photo by Julie Hrnčířová and Jan Khür.
