Outdoors, indoors, ale, music, fun. A garden celebration! Venue we know: The legendary Vaktbua (NOR). The gorgeous beings Ida & Naomi of SYNK (NOR) will play, and so will Tine (NOR), most likely. We will do at least a couple of sofa meetings (open conversations) as well during the day and evening. There will be ale, gifts (cups!), RISO gems, greatness. And during the night: *DRAG* by Paracetia Ibuprophenia (NOR)!! Hopefully clubbing, perhaps some surprises.

Skeiv kopp (NOR) makes ceramic cups (things to drink from) dedicated to queer icons. (Speaking about the cups; as you know we care for such. It helps you drink valuable, totally necessary, and tasty liquids. They could be enjoyed alone, together, as celebration. If you are following, why not look up ‘↗︎ Three Of Cups’ for another fun fact, or at last fun to worship and make a fact. Just sayin.) — A salute to queerness, openness, and diversity in general. It is a gesture, a toast (cheers!), could even be a gift; a something to be sipped from, integrated in homes widespread the country and abroad. The word means ‘queer mug / jug / cup’. Run by Kristiansand based artists and beautiful beings Jo Ravn Abusland (NOR) and Pia Eikaas (NOR), as well as Kristine K. Wessel (NOR) of Kulturbyrået Mesén (NOR). A weekend in the south with DJs, drag, and Disko. For the first time in this part of the country. Frankly, we did not know what to expect other than knowing our expanded family would be there — close ones from earlier, virtual relatives, and not to mention: unknown and to-become part of it all. So, WHAT just happened there …?! Four ‘units’ gathered south and joined all the way from Arendal to Kristiansand. Let us start there: Ida and Naomi in SYNK (NOR): No words. Third year on the road together and you managed to top it, one again. The local Highness, Paracetia Ibuprophenia (NOR) of Sørlandske Piker + entourage also joined the 48-h marathon: You coloured the stage, the garden, even the streets outside Vaktbua in what might have been a premiere (?) paring drag and this particular spot. What a pleasure! Becks (NOR) was present, too, helping in the bar and just there — all the way. And, Disko Brewing (NOR): Thank you, David. Many hours spent in that blue car with too many (veggie) burgers. Now we need to land and rest, before continuing north and west. Then there were the ones we have been waiting to be with for so long. Who invited to Kristiansand? A project celebrating ‘queer icons’ through ceramic vessels; perhaps one of the weirdest, most genuine, playful, and interesting hands-on ‘activism’ of its kind that we know of these days. Pia and Jo at Skeiv kopp (NOR): We lift our cups … !!! That also goes for Kristine & Co at Kulturbyrået Mesén (NOR); Janne, Kristin, and all the others helping out with logistics, safety, pasting labels, and general everything. Sondre for the indispensable ‘potato work’. And a special one to Bård at Oslo/Fusion International Film Festival (NOR) for recommending sexy gems for the visuals; it was f* amazing! Much warmth to our friends in Too Many Girls (NOR) for borrowing us the Pioneers for Arendal. And as always: Nilz & Otto Grafisk AS (NOR), Oslo and print master Maylen for working your skills with passion, and digging the archives for lost paper for our printporn. Even the stormy rain vanished, fooling the forecasts with clear blue skies, both nights. Some kind of force watching, after all? This was special. Someone wrote us earlier today; there were so much love … another used the expression pure JOY. Well … Deep gratitude to you guys for making one of the most beautiful and ‘real’ gigs we have ever been blessed with. It felt somehow … wild. And there will be more, too. But for now the 90 meters of string lights; 3 disco balls; countless neon tubes; flowers; peacocks, beavers, and sailors will wait for the next occasion.
