We are proud to be part of ↗︎ SKIN, the first orange wine festival in the Nordics for everyone who is curious about, or who already love orange wines! Informal and nice; 14 hours of tastings, talks, food, bar, workshops, a party, and not to mention a fine selection of rare, weird, fun, amazing, and unforgettable liquid gems. The show goes on from 13:00. Among orange wine greatness, we host a stand all day with books, art to wear, merch, and a spot to meet. We will also do the only ale on site together with Disko Brewing. At 18:15 Karmaklubb* presents ‘We Don’t Want Any Crap in Our Wine!’ — Camilla Gjerde and Tominga O'Donnell in conversation about Gjerde’s ↗︎ book on fabulous femxle natural wine producers. Two wine nerds gather. A ‘thought and pleasure’ session of approximately 30 minutes. After all, Karmaklubb* started as a wine club. UPDATE: Queer wine on the occasion: ↗︎ Rennersistas’ Intergalactic 2022 (Austria), orange of course.

Nighttime it will be a party. Two DJs are part of the crew: Trettis (Anette Trettebergstuen), from 22:30–00:30, followed by Karolinski — throughout the gloriousness. Kiss and goodnight at 03:00. Stay tuned! UPDATE: Event closed at 00:30 due to a very long day with grape juice.

More about the book: The natural wine movement has grown from being an outsider in the wine world to become trendy and sought-after. But it’s hard being a natural winegrower, so it’s a tough and risky life choice. And womxn are still outnumbered by men, even among natural winegrowers. We Don’t Want Any Crap in Our Wine (Now What Publishing, 2021) is the first book focusing solely on womxn producers of natural wine. It portraits 9 badass womxn and explores what drives natural wine producers to do what they do, to go on, despite being outsiders, despite the hardships and the risks. Photo by Cecilia Magnusson.
